  • Manual tracks can be straight or curved, and are available with flat ends, with or without skim flange.
  • Manual curtain tracks smaller than 36x28mm, such as Silent Gliss 6970, can be installed with brand-specific brackets to ensure a flush-mounted track.
  • In houses with motorized tracks from companies such as Somfy and Lutron, the same tracks can be used in windows with manual tracks for a consistent look.

Why do you have ends without skim flange?

Sometimes the curtain track is installed all the way up to a wall and there is no space or need for a skim flange.

How are manual curtain tracks installed inside TrackTrim?

Fixing brackets are mounted to the back of the curtain track where holes are drilled. These brackets are then fixed to the TrackTrim profile using short screws accessed through the holes in the curtain track.

Can the curtain track be curved in corner windows?

Yes, Blindspace provides curve sections for corner windows. See example further down on the page.

Can smaller manual curtain tracks be used?

It will not look good to use smaller curtain tracks as it will only leave open space on the sides inside the TrackTrim profile.

Dual Flush-Mounted Curtain Tracks

  • The two tracks should be installed separately at the distance recommended by the curtain track manufacturer.
  • The distance between two electric curtain tracks is typically 140-180mm and depends on the curtain type and stack width.
  • When used in curves, the difference in radius should be the distance between the two tracks. So if the distance is 140mm and the inner radius is 300mm, the outer radius should be 440mm to maintain a symmetric look.

  • Blinds are typically installed behind curtains.
  • Head boxes can be installed within the ceiling or wall, and are typically the same length as the window opening.
  • Curtain tracks can also be recessed into a wall section or a ceiling. These tracks are often wider than the window opening to allow for the stack of curtains to hang next to the windows.
  • Boxes with no skim flange can be used to reduce the distance between the blind and curtain track.
  • Single or dual blinds can be combined with single or dual curtain tracks.
